2024
1/16 Meeting & Event. Endorsed Joe Biden for re-election. Rob Whitney announced plans for a standout in Portsmouth, NH, on Sunday, January 21st, as Biden is not on the ballot for the NH Primary, on Tuesday, January 23rd. The goal is to encourage write-in votes.
2/20 Meeting. Special Guest: Boston City Council President Ruthzee Louijeune who discussed proposed changes to the BPDA.
3/2 Event. Boston Ward 5 Democrats Caucus to elect delegates to the MassDems Convention, June 1st at the DCU Center in Worcester.
2023
1/17 Meeting. Update from City Councilor Ruthzee Louijeune. Discussed upcoming Boston City Council Elections. Elected Shari Franzetta as Ward 5 Committee Secretary, replacing Diane Barry.
2/21 Meeting. Update from City Councilor Kenzie Bok. Guests: City Councilor Julia Mejia, and Kade Crockford from the ACLU, who discussed concerns about face surveillance.
3/21 Meeting. Updates from State Representative Jay Livingston and City Councilors Ed Flynn and Julia Mejia. Reminder: the Ward 5 Caucus is Saturday, June 17, at Old South Church. We will elect delegates to the 2023 MassDems Convention on Saturday, September 23.
4/21 Meeting. W5 Chair Sharon Durkan announced that she was stepping down to run for the City Council District 8. Kenzie Bok vacated the seat to head the Boston Housing Authority.
5/16 Meeting. Robert Binney elected Chair, replacing Sharon Durkan, Chair since 2019. Montez Haywood, candidate for District 8, speaks. Endorsement vote taken; Durkan is endorsed.
6/17 Event. Ward 5 Caucus. Elected delegates to the MassDems Convention in September.
6/20 Meeting. Discussed planning for a City Council At-Large candidates forum.
7/13 Event. Wards 4, 5 and 10 Candidates Forum.
7/18 Meeting. Endorsed Ruthzee Louijeune and Henry Santana for City Council At-Large.

9/19 Meeting. Elected Hilary Bacon Gabrieli First Vice Chair. Speakers: Sharon Durkan, Jay Livingstone and Will Brownsberger.
